About us:
Founded in 2004, Fuzhou University of International Studies and Trade was upgraded into a non-government sponsored regular university upon approval by the Ministry of Education in 2011, and now it is the sponsor unit and vice-chairman unit of non-profit private universities, standing vice-chairman unit of Higher Education Committee of China Association for Non-Government Education, and a master's degree joint training unit.
Situated in Changle District which is known as a coastal birthplace for famous people and literature, a gateway to Fujian Province's capital city Fuzhou, the University covers an area of about 1,300 mu, including about 370,000 square meters for buildings. It has teaching and scientific research instruments worth about RMB 110 million yuan, a total library collection of around 3 million printed books and electronic documents, more than 120 laboratories and 260 training bases.
The University has 31 undergraduate specialties, including English, Japanese, Translation, French, Spanish, International Economics and Trade, Financial Engineering, Finance, E-commerce, Economic Statistics, Investment, Financial Management, Audit, Accounting, Assets Appraisal, Logistics Management, Engineering Management, Project Cost, Civil Engineering, Marketing, Information Management and Systems, Data Science and Big Data Technology, Environment Design, Animation, Fine Arts, Radio and TV Editing, Fashion Design, Visual Communication Design, Product Design, Digital Media Art and Preschool Education. Currently, it has more than 16,700 full-time undergraduates.
The University actively promotes international school-running and exchanges and integration between Fujian and Taiwan. It is the first private university in Fujian Province to obtain the qualification of recruiting overseas Chinese students, the first private university with the qualification of recruiting undergraduate students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan,one of the pilot universities to cooperate with Taiwanese universities in running schools and one of the first batch of universities to be awarded the title of Overseas Chinese Education Base in Fuzhou. It is also an outstanding institution for employing foreign culture and education experts. The University has cooperated with more than 20 foreign high-level universities and institutions, such as British Plymouth University, Anglia Ruskin University, University of Wales Trinity Saint David, State University of New York at Stony Brook, University of Western Australia, New Zealand Massey University, Galileo Global Education, Liege University of Applied Sciences in Belgium and Angeles University Foundation in the Philippines. It carries out such cooperation as joint training, exchange of students, short-term study tours, teacher visits, lectures and further studies. We have established teaching and research partnerships with more than 10 universities in Taiwan, including Asian universities, Yishou University and Shu-Te University. The University regularly holds international summer and winter camps to promote Chinese language education and Chinese culture, and has recruited a large number of international students from countries along the "Belt and Road", such as Vietnam, Thailand , Nepal, Morocco, Liberia, Laos, Mongolia, etc to participate in cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
We adhere to the principle of connotative development.
